The Flu And You

OHI has served several of our clients with pandemic response planning during the H1N1 pandemic.

This included designing and implementing processes to track incidence and severity of H1N1 cases. Our assistance also included health support, advice and guidance for employees suffering from H1N1 during the period our public health services were overloaded.

OHI Introduces online E-counselling Services

Organizational health Inc. now offers E-counselling to compliment our existing EFAP services.

We remain committed to offering traditional face to face counselling from our office locations and through a network of counsellors across the country.

We recognize that a small proportion of our eligible clients are unable to access these services for a variety of reasons. Factors such as to location, hours of work, transport, mobility and childcare are barriers to seeking help. Our goal is to ensure every person has access to the best care available.

For these reasons we have developed a safe, secure and confidential on line counselling program, available directly from our website. At present the service is available to those 18 yrs of age and older, and resident in Canada. E-counselling is not for crisis situations, and there are some sensitive issues best addressed in person. Our process will guide people in deciding which counselling option is best.

What is the RSAP Program?

It is a proposed alternative to construction site access testing for alcohol or drugs. Across Canada, stakeholders within the construction industry are strongly committed to establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, free from risks associated with the use of alcohol and other drugs. As part of this commitment, there has been an increased focus within Alberta Construction Industry on site access testing.

With this focus in mind, the Rapid Site Access Program (RSAP) has been developed by key industry stakeholders as an integral component of an overall approach to safety and loss management. RSAP is a new and innovative voluntary program that is intended to be an alternative to site access testing. Managed by third party case administration, RSAP helps to ensure compliance, expedites the dispatch process and, ultimately, improves safety performance. It is designed to support and supplement the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace (the Canadian Model).

RSAP is an alternative to site access testing. It is a voluntary program, not imposed by owners or contractors, whereby workers enter into an agreement with a third party case administration before ever entering a work site

Organizational Health Inc provides the comprehensive professional third party case administration for the effective delivery of education, compliance and if necessary, accommodation strategies.  Investment in professional treatment, education, follow-up and after-care frameworks support affected workers in maintaining compliance with the Canadian Model and if necessary recovering from an addiction and or dependency to alcohol or other drugs.

If you have any questions regarding the RSAP program you can contact the Construction Labour Association of Alberta or Organizational Health Inc.

Reporting and Systems

Organizational Health proudly utilizes our own custom designed and developed web application. In use since January 2004, the application is entitled OHasis (Organizational Health activity support and information system) and is based on .NET technology.  It enables realtime recording and reporting of Illness/Injury, EFAP and/or Consulting information, both internally and to our clients (where applicable).

Accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, OHasis is secured by 128 bit encryption, usernames, passwords and secure backup. Where required, we are able to customize OHasis to meet the specific needs of our clients.

The functionality, data integrity and reporting ability of OHasis has been so successful, Organizational Health has accommodated requests from Companies to lease the application for their in-house use.

For further information regarding OHasis, please contact Organizational Health @ 780 944 0321.
